Mid February we went down to Ashburton with Darren from RG to complete the induction and training on the impressive 10kn -Drum Skid-Mounted recovery winch set up.
EA Networks used three the RG 4-Tonne adjustable drum stands 1.5 kms away and pulled it through in just under half a day including the set up time.
The RG EWP was used to place the three rollers on top of each cross arm.
The drum stands were secured in place by mounting them on a trailer and the skid winch on a truck. The truck will eventually have a crane fitted so that the skid winch can be easily removed.
